Before you begin
Before you start installing the Video grabber make sure you have done the following
- Downloaded the most recent version at:
PHPmotion Forum
- Ordered and received our copy of the license file
General Instructions
Unpacking and Uploading
Unzip the setup files onto your computer, you should now upload the "videograbber" directory to your sites ftp.
once done you should now have the structure /addons/videograbber
Upload your license into /addons/videograbber/license_vg.php
CHMOD Folders
The following folders must be CHMOD to 777. Note: If you get an "Internal Server Error" try and CHMOD to 755 instead
/addons
/addons/videograbber
Additional Instructions
Instruction for PHPmotion V3 Users
If you are using PHPmotion V3 (with the default template or any of the templates provided by
PHPmotionTemplates.com) then you will not need to do anything further. All the appropriate links and buttons to the video grabber will automatically be enabled for your users to start using the powertool.
Instruction for PHPmotion V2 Users
if you are running PHPmotion V2 or PHPmotion V3 (with a custom template/theme) then you will need to do the following
- Add the Video Grabber Button to any page you like (for V2 we recommended the page /inner_upload_video_form.htm and for V3 /inner_upload_menu.htm)

Using The video Grabber
You can now start using the video grabber. You will see a link to it when you/or your members next login to your site and start to upload a new video.
