Before you begin
Before you start installing the
Video Ads make sure you have done the following
- Downloaded the most recent version at:
PHPmotion Forum
- Ordered and received our copy of the license file
General Instructions
Unpacking and Uploading
Unzip the downloaded file onto your computer. You will now have a folder called videoads
Open the videoads folder that is now on your desktop and upload the contents into your FTP, into the following places.

Upload License File
You will have received a license file when you ordered the videoads. Upload this file into your FTP folder /addons/videoads
Using The Video Ads
You can now start using the video ads addon. You will see link in your siteadmin menu, when you next login
- Video Ads can be any text that you want
- As an example, you can place affiliate type ads and earn money
- You can also sell ads directly and add them to the video ads engine
- You can create as many ads as you like
- Ads are rotated randomly
- Ads are shown at the start of a video and you can specify how long they show for
Common Installation Errors
The following are typical errors that you may get and they are due to having missed one of the instructions above
Ads are not showing
By default, the video ads addon is set to "off". You will need to enable it to show ads via the "settings" menu
It can also be that you have not created any ads.
